14 years, 10 months ago at Jul 10 16:50 - Folders for images for items would be good, too. The page for Kristen Stewart, for example, has 3304 images. I have some interest in browsing through these, but not 3304 images' worth. Some hardcore fans will upload every single photo they can find of an actor, regardless of the quality or if they particularly like it. Sorting by vote helps, but only the first 1000 have any votes. Most users will probably never even look through that many, so older images may be ignored except by the same small group of dedicated fans who go through all the images and bias what others will see by their votes. Also, what's to prevent trading votes--that is, you vote for all my images and I'll vote for all yours, regardless of whether I like them or not? Or signing up for mulitple accounts and voting for your own images?
One possibility would be to have auto-generated folders based on the uploader. You would then be able to just view the uploads of Friends/Followers. Or listal could connect your image votes with the uploader of the image and then have a filter criteria for images uploaded by members whose images you've voted for in the past. Failing that, you could filter by uploaders whose images have received the most votes overall by any listal members.
Folders would be particularly helpful for screenshots to keep them organized by the time they occured in the movie. Many screenshots have significance only if you've seen the events of ones before them.
An alternative to folders would be image lists that functioned like regular lists, where you could drag images around like you can regular items. If you've voted for 2000 images for an item, you might want to put your favorites at the top of the list or create sections for different types so that you can easily find them again later.
