THEN WHY BOTHER REPLYING!?!? IDIOT!

I take it you just witnessed the destruction of Sector 7? AERIS* was taken by Tseng of the Turks?

First, you have to go back to her Ma's House in Sector 5 to get a bit of back story and then you head to Wall Market! Make sure you buy some batteries from the place with the tank turret outside! If you walk toward Corneo's mansion after that, follow the kids.

Ha, Akos you prick.

What GB said is sufficient information to get past this bit, unless you are later in the game, then whilst i dont know which bit you are at, i recommend www.gamefaq.com as it has very very very extensive information on Final Fantasy VII and you could basically perfect the game by following the advice on there. The more time you put into FFVII the more rewards you reap!

Square has no plans to re-release VII for the PS2 or PS3. I don't know where you got your information, son.

I reckon it might just be in the pipelines, i for one would play a remake. I think the game is perfect as is, but updated graphics with realistic looking people/towns etc would be sublime.

Of course, I am imagining a non bastardized version of the classic here, but we will no doubt receive a "Directors Cut"

I Love any final fantasy game idk why just the story lines and everything just sucks me in. My Favorite final fantasy has to be Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy 12 though number 12 has a different battle style than any other Final Fantasy.

If you can not even spell the word "terribly", you can't be considered a human being.

I remember when Square released their technical demo for the PS3 where they revamped the opening scene and I thought, "HOLY HELL! They're re-doing VII with new graphics!". And then I found out it was only a graphics demo for the PS3 before the console was released.

Personally, I'm against something like that, although it is an intriguing idea. "Don't fix it if it ain't broken" I say. ;)

SEnix SAYS that they aren't making it but who really knows? (Well SE does)

It should never be made. Although seeing they have remade FFIV and still have a decade to go on their FF project thingy. We're in for some bad news.

I still think that a revamped graphics version would be the icing on the cake. If the game had been made in 2008 it would be even more incredible than it is now. Still I guess in 2028 it would still look bad again! I am against changing the story etc, I would want a 100% unchanged game with completely revamped human graphics. I think they could do wonders with the weapons, Jenova and all the summons etc. It would be something to be in awe of.

If they released it again, they'd have dreadful voice actors that completely obliterate your image of the characters in your head. Red XIII as a soft-spoken weed!? WHAT? I'm sure I'm not the only person who imagined him as having an authoritative and distinguished James Earl Jones accent! Then Cloud as American... oh jeez.

I have a feeling they're either building up to a remake or FFVII-2 in the near future. They don't need money at the moment, so they might just keep a remake as a last throw of the dice. If they made FFVII today, it would have that free-roaming world map element in it which I don't really like. It's different, but it's not as good as having a top down world map to stroll around. Maybe that's just me.

I would welcome more dialogue in a remake, there's a great reason to just put more detail and explanation in. As long as they didn't change the story at all. If they did remake it, I can only imagine the new summons, magics, secret caves, unlocked areas of Midgar and copious wanky Vincent backstory they'd put in. Still, I'm almost entirely resigned to having the game ruined in a remake in the near future. There's no way I'm going to like it though.

You know, I've lost all faith in Squenix's ability to come out with a quality game--overall--since X (some argue that IX was the last good 'un). The downward spiral began with X-2, in my opinion. And then this Vaughn/Penelo love story adventure and all the rest of that jazz... Seems they're more interested in raking in the dough with pointless side stories (Dirge of Cerberus anyone?) and spin-offs. They're pandering to younger, less experienced players and alienating their original fans.

Has anyone seen the E3 trailer for XIII? Jeezus. All I can do is shake my head in disbelief that this is where the Final Fantasy games are/have been heading. And personally, I don't want any part of it anymore. Now I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep over it.

Side thought: Maybe another team will produce a series of games that might hold a light to FF? Maybe...?

There are 4 titles under the FFXIII name now. "All in the same universe but not." I think they really have lost sight of what it was all about in the first place. We'll probably end up with some sort of Kingdom Hearts shit.

I was thinking if they did remake FFVII, they would elect for motion in battle mode. Being able to move around the battlefield would mean that it would constrict the amount of characters you could use. I'd personally prefer a set-up like FFX where you can get your pals to jump in at any given moment whilst still keeping the ST Bar. Although, this would need to make each character a little more individual/unique abilitywise to utilise thi kind of set-up.

Plus, another thing I realised. In the Japanese version, Reno & Rude were meant to be comic relief but that was lost in the translation for the US/Euro version. No doubt they would try and change this. Making them dickheads like they were in Advent Children.

Ah that would be irritating as hell if Reno and Rude became jokers like in the spin offs. I hate how Japs seem to have the need for a "comic relief" that is a complete tosser. A film I like has a "jester" character in it, and he is the same, absolute twunt!

I know this may not be the intention of this thread:

Preach on it 350125g0 and Unholy Alliance! I have lost so much faith in SquareEnix it is sad. They where once upon a time one of my favorite developers now just above Spark Unlimited (the atrocious "Fall of Liberty" developers, kidding by the way). I guess there success would end eventually.

The bulls*it spin-off's of FFVII made plenty of gamers question there motives. Was SquareEnix really intent on delivering quality product to gamers? Or were they just getting into our pockets by feeding off our nostalgic love of FFVII?

Oh well even the Roman Empire fell...
