Fifty Shades Of Grey cast ??

what do you guys think about the casting of Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam in Fifty Shades Of Grey ??? I am not a huge fan , just wanted to know what people think about it here , cuz its all over the news

It's so weird to me that suddenly this massively sexual thing is so mainstream, similar (and far better quality) porn and erotic fiction has been around for ages but now we're seeing this made into a film with relatively well known actors? Bizarre.
I guess they're as good as any actors for it, I mean, the source material seems below them...

As usual, it is all about the hype. Of course, they must be some better books covering some similar topic but these books are the ones everyone is talking about right now so even if the movies stink, the fans will show up and it will make some revenue.
Personally, I think that someone like Armie Hammer was more suited. Dakota Johnson is not a bad choice but, on purpose, they chose a young actress who doesn't look that young at all. Personally, I would have chosen someone like Lily Collins, a young actress who looks rather fragile and even more younger than her actual age.

If they had gone for someone younger looking like Lily Collins it would have been creepy. Weird implications. I'm glad they picked someone who looks like a mature adult, even if fragile naivete is closer to the book character.

The whole story is really creepy, that's the point and it is the main attraction, I guess (I haven't read those books and I'm not really interested). It is rather funny that all those average housewives are reading those books when in fact, it is all pretty creepy and sordid. In my opinion, the movie shouldn't try to be something else.

The creepiness is a flaw, though. It's supposed to be sexy. If it was well-written it wouldn't be creepy at all, unless you're creeped out by kinky sex in general. Us pretentious movie website people can see the joke but like you said all those "average housewives" are eating it all up... It's bad enough people think the abusive relationship stuff in there is normal (a lot like Twilight in fact), making them think it's okay to happen to someone super young would be so much worse.
