Feature Request: Resize & Crop Tool for Avatars

Would it possible when selecting an image from 'my pictures' as an avatar to have one of those resizing/cropping tools. This could be positioned over an image and then an area of that image it could be selected for use as an avatar rather than have the full image automatically resized to avatar size. Cheers. :-)
