Feature Request: Lists of reported duplicate images

I report a lot of duplicate images and one issue I notice is that if the deleted duplicate is on any lists or collections, the image just disappears silently from the list without the owner of the list/collection being notified.

Since you have can access the set of lists for the image, would it be possible to copy them over to the new image? Or at least notify the list owner of the deleted image & it's replacement?

I'm thinking some of the lists have been patiently built and are pretty large. It's not easy to tell what's lost, so this would be a very useful feature.

Hmm! I think it works that way in actual item lists. In Image collections, the image just disappears without any placeholder, so you won't even know it's gone.
