A few examples are: Greta Garbo, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Clark Gable, Katharine Hepburn, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Marlon Brando, Marx Brothers, Joan Crawford.

One of my favorites is Paul Newman. I'm assuming he counts as classical since he was around about the same time as several of the ones you mentioned. xD

I appreciate many of the Golden Age actors and actresses. Mainly because most of them were actually talented, and had much more dignity then any of the "new" Hollywood actors of today. A couple I like from today, but not many. Plus, actors/Actresses back then had to have more than just the skill of acting, for example: Ginger Rogers, actress and dancer. Obviously there are some golden age actors, I'm not that fussed with.

My favourites are:
Katharine Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor, Jack Lemmon, Spencer Tracy...and the majority on this list. Obviously, there are some exceptions, but not many.

I believe everyone should be familiar with such a time. After all, it is history...

I echo Youngbloods sentiment. Hollywood's classic age was overflowing with talent and charisma. While there are a number of actors of present day that I follow and admire, there are far more from bygone days.

If I had to just name a few:

Jimmy Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Marilyn, Peter Cushing, Faye Dunaway, Henry Fonda, Gregory Peck and Lana Turner come to mind pretty quickly. Yet I could make a list of 100 in no time flat that I love!
