Although I don't like their movie channels, I think they have some outstanding original series'. So, I would like to know your favorite Showtime Original Series and why you like it.
I guess I'll start with my favorite:
Although I absolutely love Weeds and United States of Tara, I'm in love with the Dexter series. It's right up my alley. I've always been a fan of horror/mystery and to find a series like this was a real treat. The characters are easily likable and evolving watch gives it a more real feel and the stories always seem to come right together. I think it keeps the viewer always wondering what will become of Dexter. They give you just enough to go on and think about before the next season starts. I'm hook and I can't wait for the next season.

Penn & Teller: Bullshit if only the language wasn't so vulgar! Sadly a very limited choice.

i'd take FX over Showtime..definitely AMC, HBO, and even STARS only really enjoying Party Down from them. spray Showtime with piss. HBO is king.
i watched Dexter until i just gave up on it last season. so repelled by all the women on the show, it's like the writers are 13 years old. i have better ways of wasting my time. like posting here.

I liked what little I saw of Nurse Jackie. Dexter never grew on me.
Actually, the pilot for Shameless was really fantastic. I have high hopes for it.

Dexter. IMO it easily beats all competition.
Unlike HBO which keeps bringing works of unmatchable quality, Dexter dominates Showtime. That's just the way I see it.
I had not thought about the unrealistic and constantly bitchy women on the show though! It's true! But Debra is an amazing character and I love Rita... ever since the second season *sad face*.
Anyway, this is about Dexter, and how his adaptation and lies affect everyone else. That's enough to keep me fascinated.

Dexter. I am too fascinated with his code and why he makes the choices he does. It's been a tragic sad but also happy and fun road. I'll always want to know what's going on with him so I'll always be watching it.
