Favorite Final Fantasy

I've only played FFXII, but I've watched others play FFVII and... VIII I think. XII is still my favorite, mostly because it's not heartbreakingly sad. :P Characters were just really fun, it was a very chill game which I appreciate, and lots and lots to do when replaying.

While FFIX comes very close as my favorite, FFVI is my personal favorite.

I think FFVI is the best also, however I will say that out of all the battle systems I enjoyed Final Fantasy V's the most.

No Question for me it's VII with X a close second

for me FF VII is the best. But i also like FF IX :)

Too easy, Final Fantasy VII. Granted many other have breathtaking stories and are very well crafted video games, but none have the emotional toll on the gamer as this game does. Ah, well, may be that is just me?

Don't care what people say, VII is my fav. I love Cloud's quest to be cute. Funny and emotional, a great score, it got me into that generation of video games and rpgs in general. By the by, aside from great game play, I hated the story of IX, it stank, the characters were underdeveloped and made illogical actions. VIII is my second favorite. I think VII, VIII and VI for that matter excelled most in storytelling. IX was a big let down in comparison with VI, VII and VIII. skipped XI, never finished XII, battle system sucked. X was ok but way too short, X-2 as well. I liked V ok too but never finished it.

FFVIII was my first RPG and one of my very first games, and it took me years to fully understand it, both story and gameplay wise. Still today, it is one of my ffavorite games of all time.

my favourites are FFIX and II :D

FF Tactics on my old gameboy SP got a couple hundred hours of play.

But FF7 is still my favorite even though I never beat it ^_^.

I think everyone's favorite is the one they grew up with. Therefore, mine is FFIX. Though honestly, I've put the most time into the original. It's really great.

FF VIII is the first one I played. I still like it a lot; it's my 2nd favorite and the only one I replayed. The system is so much fun, I like that you don't have to grind (get money by walking, get more powerful by refining, junctioning). I also like that the story is not fantasy. Sadly, while I like the general plot, I can't stand the romance and the main characters involved in it. Die, whiny/perky asses!

My favorite is FF X. The game play, the story, the issues it raises. It's one of my favorite games all of time.

Final Fantasy VIII is not only my favorite final fantasy but one of my favorite games of all time

I haven't played all of them but Final Fantasy VII is my favourite so far. It really impressed me when first released - the cutscenes were graphically brilliant for the time, the soundtrack excellent, story compelling and characters well defined and likable. I also liked all of the little sub games like the snowboarding and motorbike sections, something not seen so much in other games in the franchise. It also had great replay value with all of the side missions and bosses included.

Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite game in the series, and in general. For the numbered ones I like Final Fantasy X and IX the most. Followed by XII

i would have to say FFIV, since it was the one that got me hooked in, and closely followed by VI, VIII and VII (yes, i like ffviii more than ffvii)

Really love FF series, played many parts but favourites are FF II, FF IX, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Five years later and 12 is still my all-time favorite. :)
