favorite documentary?

Mine would have to be the one When the Levees broke. I just cannot imagine what these people had to endure. Hopefully something like this never happens again.

I wish I would have watched that, but since I didn't, my favorite is The Kids are Alright. It's a music documentary, but it counts, don't it?

My favourite at the moment is Checkpoint, about the effects of the Israeli checkpoints on the soldiers manning them and the Palestinian citizens that have to pass through them.

I don't think you'll be able to find a copy at the video shop tater03, it seems to be quite rare (and expensive). It's $99.95 at amazon! I was lucky enough to be given it off someone, there's no way I'd have forked out that much myself to buy it.
I really want to see When the Levees Broke. Does anyone have any idea if/when it'll be out on DVD?

I missed "when the levee broke", but I don't have HBO, I wonder if it will come out on DVD

I saw THEREMIN a month or so ago. It was pretty interesting. THE ATOMIC CAFE is probably the one I'm most likely to re-watch anytime.

Anyone seen Murderball about the Quadraplegic wheelchair sport - pretty compelling story.

I enjoyed Jacquet's "March of the Penguins" and Diaz's "Imelda"

I don't know if it was my favorite but a Nova special on dust mites has ruined my life. :oP

My whole family loved the March of the Penguins and the Blue Planet & Life of Mammals series.

I really enjoyed March of the Penguins. I am looking forward to Al Gore's documentary on global warming though. It's supposed to be very good.

I'm not gonna lie, I haven't seen many docs but I did enjoy the Al Gore one "An Inconvenient Truth" about global warming.

My friends just got me to watch Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room. I liked it a lot... but then again I'm a business major :P

I love the humour in 'Supersize Me'. 'Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room' pretty much disturbed me to the core. My favourite documentary thus far has be 'Who killed the Electric Car' though also quite disturbing.

Bonnie and Clyde

Here my top documentaries list, in case you missed it on the homepage recently:

In my case, i will have to say the NFB classic POUR LA SUITE DU MONDE of Pierre Perrault and Michel Brault, made in 1962. Otherwise, in recent years, CE QU'IL RESTE DE NOUS of Hugo Latulippe and Francois Prevost (2004, co-production of the NFB),l'ERREUR BOREALE of Robert Monderie and Richard Desjardins (1999, NFB production) and also ALEXEI AND THE SPRING of Seiichi Motohashi (2002, Japan).
