endless time to open a picture or a list

i'm wondering what's happening in listal it's almost impossible to vote, create, watch a list and it can take 6 min to 10 min to vote for 5 pics (usually it's 5 in 1 min)
i'm stucked at least for 2 or 3 min each time i'm turning a page and sometimes it can take 10 min before the page opened entirely.
i'm wondering if it's due to the numerous random ads at the bottom of some pages ???
i don't have fun to come on this site anymore... i'm sad it was one of favorite :(

I have to admit that when the performance issues kick in, normally later in the day for me, the fun factor rapidly disappears. I already said elsewhere that users who have already committed a lot of time to the site might be harder to shake off, but new users are unlikely to stick around if they spend their time waiting for it to load. This is a world where everything is instant, and anything too slow is just a put-off.

I can't comment on performance at this very moment since I'm doing little more than clicking around from site to site just now, but the general feeling of late has not been good. I've thought about throwing in the towel a few times, but then I think about all the hours invested in creating lists.

Something has to give, and I just hope it's a positive move.

Edit: Not noticing much amiss at the minute, a bit of stuttering, but nothing particularly problematic.

I'm not experiencing any issues at the moment, but that's just me.

I haven't noticed any slowness in the last few days and the servers seem fine. I know there have been issues with the images in the past but the new server seems to be working well and has reduced the load from the old image server.

I am confused when you say there are numerous random ads at the bottom of the page, if you are logged in there will only be one ad displayed per page.

If you are seeing more than one ad it is possible that your computer is infected with malware, if you can take a screenshot of the ads I can tell you if they are legitimate ads.

Edit - Also wanted to add that optimizing the speed of the site is a ongoing thing. Unfortunately it can caused by many different things so is not an easy fix. In some cases like the image server failed a couple of weeks ago it was easy to fix and image uploading was restored.

usually it's during the week-end that it's slow but in the last week it's everyday.
if i click on a pic the page frozed and if go to another page the page frozed again and eech time i'm doing something on this site (even while posting) i'm stucked at least for 2 min or more.

i've notice that when i'm voting at some pics at the top of the page it's not too bad but at the middle to the bottom above the ads the page frozed each time i'm clicking on a pic.

...at the bottom of some pages there's some ads that are changing each time you look at the page... each time you look at that page the ads is different

i don't have any problems on the other sites. :)
