Editing data

Hey there,
I'm a new user and am really happy of it. So far as I am into vinyl trading the site will be for sure very helpful. Although I've came across a problem - editing already existing data. For example in The Complete Jack Johnson Session by Miles Davis somebody put Miles Davis and 'Miles Davies' as an author. I was wondering if there is or will be any way of editing the data.

Regards,
Peter

Yes there will be but this is a big job (to do a proper wiki style system) I will starting thinking about it when I have done some of the easier features. If you post a link the the item I will correct it myself (can't seem to find it for some reason)

Thank you for the feedback. Can't wait to see the final version.

Maybe it's because I mistyped the title - should be Sessions instead of Session ;) Anyway here's the link: www.listal.com/viewproduct/music/458833

I've just noticed that in my profile in Music you can actually see "Miles Davis" in My Artists box twice. After clicking the items listed in two categories I've discovered that in one case the author is typed as "Miles Davis, Miles Davis" (in regular list in Author column everything's ok - Miles Davis). That's just a bug report, maybe there are more similar errors.

edit: usenet quotation seems to be a problem for the code of the site - everything preceded with it disappears

I have corrected that item.

I think the usenet quoting has problems because it thinks everything is a tag so it strip's it. I will upgrade this forum at some point :)

Actually it will probably just get overwritten when I fetch the data from amazon. I think these problems are due to errors in the amazon data so to fix them will have to wait until I have written the editing system which will mark products so they do not get updated anymore.

I manually added an item, and it had a couple errors that I can't correct, now.

I added the German version of "Johnny English", and somehow Rowan Atkinson didn't show up as an actor, even though I know I typed him in there in addition to John Malkovich and Natalie Imbruglia...and the "realease date" should be September 1, 2003, not September 8, 2006 (which is today's date). I know I selected that from the dropdowns, too, but it doesn't seem to have taken.
