eBook Readers

With the Amazon Kindle 2 being out a couple weeks now and reviews of it being positive some are saying printed books are finally numbered.
Personally I've heard this before but with the Kindle and of eBook readers finally having enough power, long enough battery life and visibility enough to read without eye strain that maybe this time it might to true. The only thing I see holding back most everyone from having one is the price. I for one would buy one for around $150 while I'm pretty sure $100 is the magic price point for a lot more.
What is everyone else's opinion about eReaders? Are they going to take over or is this another false prediction?

I don't know...I've been looking at the Barnes and Noble eNook. Now comes in full color as well as "app" ready. I'm going to wait it out a little more, let the companies beat eachother out so the consumers get the best deal. To me it just sucks because you're paying $9.99 for a book and you never have the physical copy.
