Duplicated items

I noticed that there are films, books etc, that have duplicated entries. Would not be better to join them?

any examples of this? I thought all the duplicates were removed a few months ago.

Examples:

Book: Norwegian Wood (Haruki Murakami)
Watchmen (Alan Moore)

Music: Doolittle (Pixies)
Waltz for Debby (Bill Evans)

Duplicates of films were removed, but I think with other items it is a little harder. For books especially I would like to see the exact copy I have, which is exactly why we add by ISBN. If I see a cover that I don't own in my collection then I get confused and a bit annoyed. That was one feature I prefer at LibraryThing to here, that they have the one entry for the book and each user can modify their own personal details and display. If we could have that here then I would never again have second thoughs about getting a paid membership over there again. :P

the 'choose your own cover' would work great for books, but also allow finally a fusion of the Movies and DVD section, and let each person determine if they want DVD or Movie Poster cover, and in case of several movies posters, choose whichever they like the best.
