Duplicate Items

Tom, could you please implement a system so that people can mark/tag items as duplicate?

I just bought myself an xbox 360 and I want to add all games that I have and want, but there are many games that show up with different names, one that occurs a lot seems to be "GAME NAME (xbox 360)" I dont need XBOX 360 in the name when it is under the xbox 360 category... this also gives us another problem, some people choose either one of the duplicates and we get a skewed rating system for the same game. this also translates to movies and everything else on this site...

maybe its not good to let new people use this system, maybe limit to people who have many items and seem to care about their lists...

I have been wanting something like this for some time as well, I find it quite frustrating seeing so many duplicate items for items all the time for no good reason. I think this would be a good feature, so Tom what are your thoughts?
