Doctor Who new movie destroying TV series continuity!!!!

Apparently they are going to make an Americanized movie that will disregard the tv series completely. I fear this will destroy the tv series. I hope and doom it to failure. A bad day to be a fan of anything!

Didn't they do this already with the first movies and that movie length episode for a US audience?

There have been all types of Dr Who movies, some where really bad, others I really enjoyed - but the TV series always kept its distance from them. As long as they don't discover the power of the Tardis comes from midichlorians, we should be ok.

I'm more worried the recent TV series has already been converted for a US audience. I almost vomitted when they raised the UK flag, in that classic marines flag raising stance from iwo jima.

The fox tv movie is in continuity. The 2 Cushing films were a mistake and a great insult to William Hartnell at the time. I am terribly afraid they are going to destroy the tv show for this.

Everything I've heard so far seems to suggest this is going to be completely separate from the tv series...

which is evil and will hurt the series. A disrespect to the cast and crew and fans.
