What do you want to see in the next Batman game?

Arkham Asylum was great, and Arkham City was even better. Now, share your ideas, what do you think would make the next Batman the best in the series?



More Playable Characters/Skins In Campaign Mode
Arkham Asylum had DLC that let you play as the Joker in Challenge Mode. Arkham City added Catwoman, who had her own unique Campaign storyline, with Nightwing and Robin available in Challenge Mode.
The next game should definitely continue this trend. I'd like to see two more members of the Bat-Family, the Huntress/Helena Bertinelli and Batgirl/Cassandra Cain. And maybe a villain or two, or three.

Setting: All Of Gotham City
The logical next step in the trilogy. Basically what Arkham City was, but even bigger. And like how Arkham City had several different districts (Park Row, The Bowery, Amusement Mile, Industrial District, Steel Mill, etc.), the next game could have several different neighborhoods, like The Narrows, Old Gotham, Robinson Park, Downtown, Little Italy, Chinatown, etc.
They could base it on the No Man's Land storyline from the comics, which would also be a good reason to include Huntress and Batgirl. Plus, in Arkham City part of the map was even already partially sunk underwater from a previous earthquake, so maybe some foreshadowing there?

Drivable Batmobile/Batwing/Batpod
If the game really does take place in the entirety of Gotham City, utilizing Batman's various vehicles would be a great way to explore it all and cover large distances quickly, while slower, short-range travel could continue to use the gliding mechanic. I can think of a bunch of new Achievements/Trophies they could add, as well as a few new sets of Virtual Reality Training challenges.

Multiple Faction System, Like Saints Row or Just Cause
Like in the No Man's Land storyline, different gangs would each control an area of Gotham City. Each gang could have their own set of side missions Batman could complete for gadget/Batsuit/vehicle upgrades, and slowly take back territory for the GCPD and the citizens of Gotham.
I think there should be at least three gangs, led by Two-Face, Penguin, and Black Mask, with the addition of the GCPD as a fourth "friendly" faction.

Cameos From Other DC Comics Characters
It would be cool to see a brief appearance by one or two characters not from Batman's rogues gallery, even if it's just an easter egg like an article on the front page of a newspaper or a news story on a TV or something. Some candidates that come to mind include Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, or Green Arrow, or perhaps supervillains like Lex Luthor (who ties into No Man's Land, and could be portrayed as a business rival to Bruce Wayne), Maxwell Lord, or Amanda Waller.

Divergent Storyline/Choices That Affect Gameplay/Multiple Endings, Like Alpha Protocol
Catwoman had two endings in Arkham City, which was a welcome surprise. The next step would be to give that treatment to the main man himself, Batman, and bump up the number of possible endings to at least three (but preferably more).
Rocksteady has proven they're not afraid to kill characters off, so the choices you make as Batman could carry some real emotional weight. And it would be cool if your choices could affect your gameplay experience, like for example stopping an arms smuggling ring would limit the amount of firearms available to the thugs in Gotham. That kind of stuff would add a lot of replay value to the game.
