What do you think happens when we die?

What happens when we die? Is there an after, or does it just end? What do you think happens? (try and go in-depth)
Part of me thinks we go to a new life, like, where we start over from scratch, in a completely different world, we could be the same thing, or we could be something entirely different, I think we have Tabula Rasa occur, in which we are a clean slate, but almost like an erased piece of paper, with the lines still there, they just need to be redrawn, so we can learn lessons faster in the next life and do better
And part of me thinks something entirely different, what do you think?

No one can say what happens after you die. It is one of those mysteries of life that will never be able to be answered by the living. I live with the thought of rather than worrying about what happens when I die to instead worry about what I can control while I am living.
If there is a life after death then that question will be answered at that time rather than having people who have obviously not died yet tell me what they cant know.

Hmmm, no imagination?
I never said I knew, theres something called think, it means you're not sure at all, I just find this to be a good way to exercise one's creative side by allowing it to decide what happens
Who said I worried about it? I never said that I am worried about dying or what happens after it, I'm just curious as to other's thoughts on what may happen, it's just for fun, I find it disappointing that you took me so seriously, loosen up man.

It has nothing to do with imagination.
If you want me to make something up then I think when you die you go to land of cherries and fairies. We all become fairies and eat cherries of all different colors forever. The cherries taste like skittles and it is a world of rainbows of fruit flavors.

I thought some similar things when I was young. They very quite nice fantasies. These days I strongly believe that when we die, we die for good. Human brain does still work on some levels for ~10mins after you've died. So that could just be the afterlife. All in our heads. Just some dream or then plain the end. Then you rot and no-one comes to visit your grave when you die (if you are buried).

one could only assume that as you were being all serious and what not, Lol, Thank you Anonymity, I actually enjoyed reading that one lol, now I have a craving for Skittles again, rats...
Wow Nimi, a nice dark thought,
I'll say my other 2 thoughts then, 1 of them is the same as yours, we just go kaput, gone forever,
the other is we are sent spiraling through an endless dark ravine, never to see light again and forever feel the last feeling we had(so for some people this is good and some it is bad)

I've always been curious. If you are a christian and believe in hell. Do you think you can kill yourself there. Why or why not? If you think it would be possible, where would you go from there...?

I'm agnostic, but thats an interesting question, I don't know... if you died... what if there's like... various things, like if you die in Hell and haven't done something bad until you got there you go to Hell Heaven or something, where it's not as bad as Hell, but it's not as good as Heaven or Earth, or a Hell Hell, which is worse then Hell, and it just goes further and further
Idk, thats an odd but really interesting question, maybe you should make a thread about it for it to get covered more

I think once we die we are reborn anew. As in your soul never dies it just restarts but brings your traits with you and gains new ones. And maybe by a slight chance your soul accidentally brings very little remembrance of your last life. But your soul is being controlled by a life force that is unknown to the living it is a dead life force that keeps the balance of life in its place, we all know it by the name of Death. It's death's job to see that we don't keep our memories of our last life only traits.

What if we've been through this life before, and when we die, we wait in Heaven until the Universe explodes((or when the sun goes super nova, which, would be pretty awesome to see if it wasn't going to destroy us^^)) and then we just begin again, doing this life over and over and over for all of eternity? Does that make any sense at all?
There's also the subject of reincarnation. You could chose to be reincarnated as a human, animal, or even a little bitty buggy bug((who would want that...they always get smushed)). You could live life to your end like that, and come back again, and again, and again if you so choose. It would be neat if you were a cat in one life, a human in the next, then maybe a fox after that.
Then there is the subject that Nimmer had suggested. That there is no life after death, but that wouldn't be very funteresting would it? ;3.
IT is an interesting thought though, but I choose not to think about the subject of death much. Death is really just a vacation, and you'll see them again soon, but hopefully not too soon.

Well fo rme it depends on how you lived you life. If you lived a good life and did not commit a capital sin and not go to confession then you will go to heaven. If you lived a bad life and commited many capital sins never wnet to confession and were never sorry about it then you go to hell end of story.

Yama did someone tell you you're going to die?

No no Vince, I am just having a nice touch of death related curiousity,
Ash, it depends on which reincarnation you look at, the Native Americans believe you came back as an animal that most represented you're life, you don't get to choose,
but in other cultures, there is more choice sometimes...

Ibelieve that when I die I'm probably just gonna be cremated. No afterlife formeI guess....sounds awesome though.

Ah, yes, can't forget about my Native American heritage. If I do become reincarnated, it will either be as a wolf, fox, or a leopard, for all three of those animal spirits have made contact with me . Once, I saw a spirit of a white wolf in my front yard, yet, I am in home in the forest, not the tundra. A leopard visited me in my dreams, saying it was my guardian. The fox, on the other hand, is who I am. So if I was going to be reincarnated as an animal...which would it be? What is my totem, or do I not have a soul?
((sorry if I went a little off topic there))
I believe mostly in reincarnation, I suppose.

Lol, I enjoy my heristage, Cherokee, nice and easy to remember,
I'ma 1/32nd if I remember, just enough to make the cutline of saying I'm still Native American slightly(I could get money from the gamble reserve places)
Ah, then I'm a dog apparently, as I have seen a dog when I was 8 that dissappeared into dust, I went over the next day and there was still traces of the dust, a bristly texture that reaked of age...

;3 but I'm a cool nerd, right Wolf-paw?
I have a lot of indian in me, and the tribe Lumbee. Even though you can't always see it on camera, I am kinda dark skinned, because of the Indian and the african american in me as well. I have alot of other nationalities in me, but I can't name them all. okay that might have been off topic but oh well.
What do you believe in then Vince, if not reincarnation?

in my own, personal, huimble most of the time, opinion, when you die i think that you go into a state of eternal sleep. your heart and other organs stop working, yes, but i think that located in the very center of your brain (because they havn't really even got past the first few layers yet) is your "soul" to say. and, when you die, your soul becomes active and you live in a dream, aka paradise.
(i look at death from two perspectives :P)
