The sea level rise, if it does hasppen, it will surely cause change! I have to visit Holand before it's too late :P

External factors such as Alien encounter or Nuclear War/Asteroid Impact will have the biggest negative impact. When the magnetic poles switch, we'll see an increase of cancers and mutants. But if I had to choose just one change, I hope that 'Education' will change the world for the better, just as much as ignorance can create negative outcomes for us all.

Who is the leading Superpower and whats its schools like? Oh God We are DOOMED!

Illiteracy. I'm constantly amazed at how poorly many people read, write, and speak, and it's a clear indication of how lacking the U.S. education system is, not to mention how intellectually bankrupt our culture has become.

well , i think that not many good things will be in the 21 century.
Though the Technology will continue to Develop itself , but also
at the same time as we go foward in time the humanity will
be far away beyond are reach , and we will forget what it's Love . . .
usually people give energy for something that not return love just
to have fun & kill time ,& the other things like FASHION will
always be new and in the same time re-new from the 70's fashion or
50's ( and stuff like this ) in music it will not be good as the 90's
music , in financial it will be the same, the rich people will get more
rich. (but that's just my opinion )

ACCEPTANCE---LIVE your life--let others do the same--TRUTH--lies do nothing to enhance, instead the lies destroy trust. tell yourself the truth before you expect the same.--HOPE--without hope there will be no future----LOVE--love yourself so that you can love others. give all people the respect as individuals that you want from them--love comes as an added bonus with respect. 1) Medical advancements should help out a whole lot as we learn what causes/how to treat or cure neurological impairments and diseases like cancer and whatnot. Of course, new ailments will come about whether they're kin to what we've already seen.

2) I also think technology will go down a road that isn't exactly what we imagine in Sci-fi works - there will be some things that were anticipated (like video chats have become), some that will completely surprise us (the internet) and quite a few things that will stay mostly the same (we'll most likely never need flying cars).

3) Our humanity won't falter - only a downright apocalypse (which I believe will come eventually) will change how we define ourselves and live our lives.
