deleting "owned" items

I apologize if I am posting something that has been asked before. I used the search groups options and it didn't find anything.

I want to delete items as being owned - some things I trade or give away if I don't really like them. I'm not really sure how to mark them as unowned once I get rid of them. I've looked at various pages and can't find a way to do it.

I think you can do a search for the item using the mine search in the upper right of any of the listal pages. The item will show up, click the check box to the left of the item and then pick to delete below.
