Deleted Star Wars concept art

I've recently noticed I had several of my uploaded images deleted.

They were all concept art of the original Star Wars trilogy. These pictures included concept art made by Ralph McQuarrie, the original mastermind who almost singlehandedly designed the franchise's visual identity, and one of the deleted images included the ever famous early sketch of a fight between Darth Vader and Luke (wearing a space air/gas mask), which is displayed in every documentary about the making of the first movie.

I can't possibly understand how someone can possibly think the material was "invalid". I won't even consider the fact that these pictures being "drawings" played any role in this. None of the fair rules listed encompass these images. It's not spamming for points and they were not replaced by a higher resolution. They were not duplicates and they were most definitely not out of place and context. But being this severe, why the "No recoloring or crops of existing photos" and the "no duplicate/similar" rules didn't also remove a ton of celebrity pictures I've seen around the site?

These deleted pictures were a valuable material that took me time and effort to find and all fans could find this rather rare material here. I was enthrilled myself when I first got to them and wanted to share them. But once again Listal neglects and punishes this kind of out-of-the-box contribution. And I'm not complaining about my score here as I've stopped being a contributor years ago (because of a similar atitude that hasn't changed despite my unheard complaints).

This is something that is prejudicial to the site itself. Now people will have to look for these concepts elsewhere. I won't even be able to send my friends a link to Listal galleries when I'm talking with them about Ralph McQuarrie's art or Moebius' contributions to the series, considering you don't want them here for some unclear and arbitrary reason.

The have been deleted by mistake, I am working on restoring them.

I'll take the blame for that as I'm the one who reported them as I was 100 % sure that they were fan art. Human error at a high level here.

@Bml93 I personally deleted at least one of those images. Then started to question that action. I think that it is safe to say that this was just a group level of human error. Tom, is working on undeleting them and I believe another moderator has uploaded the images off site so that Henrique can reupload them if undeleting doesn't work.

Team effort mistake... team effort solution ;)
