Dated Added - From Wanted To Owned

If I'm not mistaken, when I move an item from my "wanted" list to my "owned" list, it keeps the "date added" from when I added it to the "wanted" list. Would it be possible to make the "date added" change to when I actually added it to my collection, not when I decided I wanted it?!

In case I'm not being too clear:
I add Book A to my "wanted" list. It sits there for a couple of months.
In the meantime, I buy Book B and Book C, and add them straight to my "owned" list (They never made it to my "wanted" list)
Then, I buy Book A and move it from "wanted" to "owned".
Then, I buy Book D and it goes straight to my "owned" list.

If I then sort my owned books by "Date Added - Desc", it will list as:
Book D
Book C
Book B
Book A

But I think it should show as
Book D
Book A
Book C
Book B
to accurately display the order in which it entered my collection.

I have the same problem when i've watched a movie out of my want to watch list. To keep the widget on my homepage up-to-date i have to delete the movie out of my list and mark it afterwards as watched. A little bit unnecessary complicated especially because i have to add all the tags again...

I used the books as an example because it's the one I keep most current... but yes, I would love for this to be universal across all categories :)

Yeh, I have that problem with both books and films. If they were updated that way it would be much easier/quicker to find a particular product from the overview page instead of having to search for it.

I do the same trick as Ipanema, deleting movie from 'want to watch' list, then re-adding it in 'watched' list.

It seems like a simple fix, though. When item gets its STATUS changed, then force a refresh on the 'date added' part of its database.

well, simply in theory. I'm no computer programmer. :)
