Custom items in lists

I am from the Czech Republic and I can't create complete lists for movies/series because Czech shows are neither in the database of listal nor IMDB. Would it be possible to add cutom items to my lists? After couple of hours with Listal, I couldn't figure out any way how to do it.

I understand that creating custom items would lead to huge spamming (and nobody wants that) but I would really appreciate if I could add an item that would appear (only) in my list (just to have complete database; add a title, optional release year, my ranking and a note would be enough). These custom items would not get into general Listal database of course (wouldn't be listed in search box or anywhere else).

Explanation: I have databases for games, tv series and movies for years. I'm thinking about migrating my data to Listal but I'm not really sure because of the issue above and then I don't see any option to export my data (to Excel or .txt at least) for backup or other data migration which worries me even more. I also couldn't find how to import my data (Excel, txt, xml,...). My lists have hundreds of items, do I have to add them manually?

EDIT: I found how to export .xml

There really isn't a way to add custom items to Listal. The only site that I can think of where you should be able to do that is Listology. I still have a few friends who use the site because it is basic text.

www.listology.com/

Criticketer used to have a system where you could ask for an item to be added but their lists have taken a serious down turn and exporting I think was only RSS feed as far as I know.

www.criticker.com/

I personally have not found a good way to import and export lists from any of the sites... other then using a good old fashioned spreadsheet.

Sorry, I'm not much help :(

Thanks, actually you were very helpful! Now I can stop trying because it's just not possible. I use Game Collector for game database and Movie Label for movies/series so I'm little bit spoiled about how my data can be used which is a thing Listal can also do (to a certain point). It follows how many movies I've seen of certain director and so on...

But most importantly I like the idea that my database would be on the internet, globally accessible and software free. I'll give it a try. This is probably the closest to my idea of a personal database service.
