Current media?

What are you guys reading/listening to/playing/watcing these days?

I've been packing up for the move, so i haven't had much time to spend doing any of the four, but here's my most recent media intake:

Reading: Anansi Boys, by Neil Gaiman (novel) and Local, by Brian Wood (comic)

Listening to: I've been on a Mike Doughty kick for a while now, so Skittish has been on my stereo every night. I've also been listening to a lot of podcasts - namely, FanBoy Radio (great comics podcast) and NPR Movies/Technology

Playing: Gun, for the PS2. The game is friggin' great. Thomas Jane does the main char's voice and Kris Kristofferson has some chars, too. It's just a bunch of fun. Free-roaming action game with a Western theme.

Watching: I just saw V for Vendetta in the theaters, and it was f'ing amazing. I also just bought the DVD of Krull on a whim... that movie is hilarious. Liam Neeson has a minor role in the film - he's basically "Crewman #3" and gets killed off in exactly the sort of way Crewman #3 always does. Funny stuff.

So what are you guys checkingout these days?

Reading: "Something Rotten" - Jasper Fforde

Listening to: lost of metal, right now "We've Come For You All" - Anthrax

Playing: nothing (never was a gamer)

Watching: catching up on the new Battlestar Galactica. Just watched the first episode of the second season last night. Disappointing episode, actually, given the super-cool ending of the first season, but I'm sure it'll pick up again.

Yeah, I created the group and invited some local friends to join it, but none of them seem interested. I'm glad someone decided to check it out.

I haven't seen any of the BG series yet. I was a big fan of the old series, but the new one has fallen into that "gotta buy the dvd at some point" pile. The show is too far in for me to pick it up now, from what I've heard.

Rent the DVDs and watch it from the start. I wasn't impressed with the first mini-series, but the first proper series was excellent. Full of interesting ideas and questions: what makes you what you are? Can you live up to your ideals? Cool stuff. Oh, and hot babes, too...

Yeah, I was pretty revved up for the first miniseries but ended up being pretty disappointed with it. Since then, a lot of people I know have been raving about the series - I'll have to check it out.

I'll add that one to the list of DVD seasons I need to get my hands on: Lost, 24, The Office, etc.
