I don't really have much knowledge on this genre of cult films, so lets hear some.

The Lost Boys
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Pet Cemetary
American Werewolf in London
American Werewolf in Paris
John Carpenter's Vampires

You can't talk about cult horror films and not mention Hammer, surely!?

Sword & the Sorceror (Sword & Sorcery really, but there are horror elements)
Evil Dead I-3
Suspiria
Almost any Hammer vampire/Frankenstein/monster movie anyone cares to mention
Monster Squad

A significant question would be what exactly is considered a "cult classic" horror movie.

To be fair, he only specified cult films, not that they had to be cult and 'classics', too ;-p

For my part, I don't really think in terms of either; as far as I'm concerned, there are (after genre) good and bad films, and a few that fall somewhere in between. So, for example, I wouldn't have much idea whether The Evil Dead would be considered 'cult' *or* 'classic', but strongly suspect it to be both.

I think when the words "cult" and "horror" are mentioned, any list must have George A. Romero, Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento's films in it.

Among others, of course, but those have to be there.

Black Sheep
Night of the Lepus

nothing like killer herbivores to make for a great cult movie

The Stuff
Troll 2
Puppet Master III
C.H.U.D.

And that's the more mainstream stuff.

Spider Baby (1964) with Lon Chaney Jr., Sid Haig, and Jill Banner. It's actually a funny movie. Imagine if the Addams family actually killed people.
