16 years, 5 months ago at Dec 5 18:18 - Jean-Pierre Jeunet's (director of Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Amelie, A Very Long Engagement) next film will be titled Micmacs à tire-larigot (“Playing Games to Your Heart’s Content”). It's going to be a comedy about international arms smuggling. Filming will start next spring for a release in mid-2009.

He was planning on doing an animated film called The Life of Pi, but it was killed in battles over the budget between the studio and the director. Bummer.
Filming starts this month on Terry Gilliam's (director of Brazil, 12 Monkeys, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas) next film, called The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. Much more on that here.
Hot on the heels on No Country For Old Men, the Coen brothers' (writers/directors of Miller's Crossing, Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski, Oh Brother Where Art Thou) next film, Burn After Reading, is already in post-production and should see a release next year.

16 years, 5 months ago at Dec 6 3:21 - I am really wanting to see how Ender's Game will turn out. The book is one of my favorites and I hope they don't screw it up.
Other than that, Max Payne the movie and Halo the movie are the other really big ones I can't wait for.

16 years, 5 months ago at Dec 7 4:40 - wha? Ender's Game movie?? I remember hearing something about that a few years ago but I didn't realize they were actually actually making one. Gee. All the little warped children.
There was that Astro Boy movie that will probably suck but I will watch it anyway.
And there was also that supposed Eva live-action which will probably never come into fruition in the next decade or so if it ever does.
And of course the Speed Racer movie.
But unless it's something I was already interested in like a book or tv show I tend not to pay attention much to movies until someone tells me otherwise.
