HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN TO A CINEMA IN ONE DAY?!?!

Phew, sorry. Just had to get that out!

When I returned from my travels from South-East Asia recently, I found myself back in England mid-week with no job and no (free) friends. I was absolutely livid because I'd just been half the world away and wanted to spend some quality time with my mates.

So after a hefty sleep, I woke up early the next day with the intention to go to the cinema as I'd been away from that old girl for quite some time. I can honestly say I was spoilt for choice when I arrived so I decided to watch all the films I wanted in that day! I was tweeking!

So like a couch potato, I sat in there through 4 films which were all conveniently timed apart. It was like VUE wanted me to watch them without stress! I also had time to go to Pizza Hut to get some much needed nutrients/grease to tide me over at the half-way point.

Nowadays, I find myself, week in week out, looking for another conveniently timed film schedule to topple my 4-film cinema binge. I reckon in the best case scenario, you could watch 7 films in a day at a cinema but at what cost?

I'm going to assume the average person has been to the cinema once or twice in a day. Has anyone else been this bored/desperate to go further?

Possibly 2 or 3 times in the same day but that is the limit for me, due to having a really sore arse afterwards, from the awful standard seats.

Guess I could do 4 or 5 viewings if it was a premier seat, if I was paid or if I worked there.

Twice, in same theatre different screens, but rarely do you get a batch of good movies on at the same time with spare seats, and I don't get the spare time to watch one movie now let alone two.

I usually do three in one day at Oscar time and leaving myself enough time to watch one more when I get home.

Three in a row, back when The Fifth Element was playing at a cheap, crappy theater out here for a $1.50 a showing.

Twice...it is hard to find time (and money) to go even on a rainy day.

A few years ago, I watched three movies with short breaks between them during a hot summer day (40 C). I was alone because my friends and family were on vacation, really bored and the theaters with the air-conditioners were the paradise. I stayed in the multiplex cinema for nearly 7 hours and I went out only when I felt that it was time to return home and eat real food.

I guess that three movies to a cinema in one day is the limit for me.

The only time I saw a different movie than the one paid for is when I went with a friend to Bad News Bears (2005) and we were taken aback by all the cursing. We thought it'd be a heartwarming underdog story, as that's what was presented in the commercials. Forget what we saw after we left, which was very early on in the movie.

2 for sure, a couple times. Possibly 3 on one occasion, but if that did happen, I can't remember. Which probably means I didn't, I guess.

I watched Mission: Impossible IV - Ghost Protocol, followed immediately by Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows one night.

Another time, I saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Captain America: The First Avenger at a second-run theater even though I'd already seen Dark of the Moon once already, but there wasn't anything better I wanted to see. Had a lot of time to kill in between, so I went into Captain America early and sat there in the empty theater for an hour to make sure I got a good seat. Didn't really mind, I just used that time to talk to myself. :P

I think I might have hit three last year. My buddy Trevor and I make movie days and go movie, lunch, movie quite often where both of us will pick something that's playing. 2 movies was a big deal when we first started doing that, but now going out to one movie seems short and unfulfilling. :P
