Can't mark things as on loan

There no longer seems to be an option to mark books as out on loan. Am I missing something, or has this feature been intentionally removed?

it would be nice to loan out to non-listal members. i thought it used to be possible before?

It is possible to mark items as out on loan to non listal members. I just didn't see the options to mark an item as on loan; they are now located under "edit personal info" when you bring up the details on a book in your collection.
