Cancelled soap AMC no longer being picked up online, OLTL GH

SnappySneezer 12 years, 5 months ago at Nov 15 19:12 -
ABC cancelled two long running soaps this last year, All My Children is off the air right now and One Life to Live ends in January. A few months ago an online company announced they would pick them up, making several fan protesters happy but recently announced they are not going ahead with plans for AMC despite signing 3 stars and altering and affecting the end of that program. Apparently they will focus on OLTL which they say will start immediately after it goes off the air in January and they do have 13 signed and writers and producers. It seems odd though, OLTL goes silent this week and if they don't start shooting something there willl not be anything to show. Many fear this might have been a trick by Disney to quiet fans down.

The soap General Hospital, while not officially cancelled does not have a slot on the ABC fall schedule, they have given it to local station but are insisting they should show Crappie Couric, I mean Katie Couric in the spot. Interesting enough, the Orlando station is going to be showing a Steve Harvey talk show instead of Crapie, mean Katie. If you call your local abc affiliate and ask them about the fall, most of them will tell you General Hospital is cancelled because there isn't a spot on it in their schedule event though ABC is not being up front about it.

Sad times to be a fan.

I used to watch them when I was a kid, my Mom liked them but it must have been over exposure for me during those years and I never could stand them after that.
