LoginCan Add Items to 'Anonymous' Account?

If I have two windows open, logout in one, then do a search in the second window, I am able to add items to some account but none of the other profile stuff is present. Seems like the item is associated with some default user (or something)
Not sure that makes sense. Let me know if I need to be more clear.
(I discovered this while attempting to write a greasemonkey script. I don't want to let anyone else have the script yet, because I can't catch if they are logged in and this could possibly cause a bunch of items in that state.)
