Building A New Computer

DuckNation 10 years, 8 months ago at Sep 2 6:49 -
Well i'm going to try to build my first computer it's going to be a cheap gaming desktop So far the total cost is only $398 and that's without a Operating System, keyboard, and mouse i already got a monitor for it.

Here are the specs

CPU:AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor This comes with a Radeon HD 7660D Integrated Graphics video card and a CPU Fan it was only $109.99 this really saved me money and is a decent CPU/GPU Combo for the price.

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M Micro ATX FM2 Motherboard Simple cheap motherboard only $69.99 was going to get a asus MB but this was $20 cheaper.

Memory(RAM):G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory Decent really cheap only $68.99 was not really my first choice was looking for (4 x 2GB) friend said it would be better and cheaper but I couldn't find a better price.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Yes i know it's not a SSD drive but for now with this for gaming this will have to do cost was $69.99.

Thermaltake VL800P1W2N (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Casee Cool looking Case that was only $39.99 so i'm good with it for now.

Power Supply: Diablotek 400W ATX12V Power Supply X2 FANS Was cheap and not really my first choice but it's good enough my estimated wattage is only 189W.

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer Didn't want to have to get a DVD drive but it was the last thing i downscaled to get below the $400 mark.

I've done my research and this can play most current games on med-high settings 720p-1080p depending on the game(BF3 and Crysis 3 can be played no problem) and will be able to play bf4 on low-mid @720p settings.

All in all for the price i think it's a pretty decent gaming computer and it will be just a building project ill add some other things later like a dedicated video card for better performance and a better CPU cooler for sure. Ill also be using this for just more then gaming ill also be using it for video editing and other general stuff. I was told by a friend that INTEL would be the better choice if i was also going to be video editing but i was looking at the prices and it just didn't work out for my budget INTEL is just too expensive i would have needed at least another $200-250.

So what do you think? input would be cool decent or no?

Sweet!
I was going to ask: no network card? but then I figured it must be integrated in the motherboard. :)
