Bug: Updating of tags

Tags that i've added in the item view don't update in the overviews...

Perhaps some of you could proof this by having a look at the link above.

I've had problems with this too. They are still there, but they are being invisible. In the overview click the + twice and they should appear. Doesn't stop it being annoying though...

same here, they don't show in overview. and clicking + twice does nothing for me.

My bad, clicking + then "add" works for me.

Which ones don't appear? I can see tags in the link you posted

Take "Stalag 17" for example. I've tagged almost every of the first 25 shown movies but they show up only if i use the clue of tartan_skirt.

I've tested with new tags and they seem to appear (I haven't changed anything), did the tags which previously appear just disappear recently? Trying to work out what has happened.

Are tags added in the item view still not appearing for some people?

for me, when it did happen, it was in the 'Want to watch' field, not in the 'watched' field. And i can't seem to reproduce it now.

update: strike that. most of the want-to-watch items I added yesterday, with tags, don't have their tags shown in column view:

Rolling, Half Nelson, Tideland, Notes Scandal and Sophie Sholl all have tags but dont get shown. And i added all those yesterday. I also added Proposition yesterday, and its tags show up. the rest dont have tags.

I'm trying to remember, for some movies, I add tags, and THEN i click watched or want to watch. I'm wondering if that causes the problem?

And all the movies I added to my watched list, I think 2 days ago, they all have their tags displayed:

so in my case, it definately seems to be more related to the Want to Watch list.

Good news, i think i found the source of the bug:

bwde.listal.com/wanted/movies

step 1: click on movie i didnt have on my list (charlie chaplin movie), added tags, test1, test2, comedy. then click on Want to watch. Then clicked on Movies, Want to Watch, and noticed that those tags DON'T display in overview, but do in the movie info page.

step 2: clicked on movie i didnt have yet (400 blows), clicked Want to Watch. did a page refresh, and even went back to overview, the to want to watch, then to movie, and added tags. and that movie's tags DO display on overview page.

so it does seem to be related if you perhaps start adding tags before the movies is fully registered into your list.

see my Wanted list. Harold & Maude had its tags added FIRST, then I click on Want to Watch. and Strawberries movie I click Want to Watch FIRST, then i added tags. Notice Strawberries has its tags visible in list, while Harold & Maude do not.

I believe that before, adding tags caused a movie to automatically be put in your wanted list. Now, if i add tags, and hit refresh, neither Watched or Want to Watch are highlighted. I dont think thats what used to happen a few weeks ago, which is why the bug is occuring now?

anyways, go fix it, Tom. You have 15 minutes. LOL

p.s. I tried same trick but putting movies in WATCHED category. same results, which one movie showing tags, other not showing. So it doesnt matter which category it gets put into, rather of when the first tag is added.

I have disabled adding of tags unless you have added it to a list first, was this the problem or is there something else?

correct, that seemed to be the problem from the testing i did., adding tags 'before' an item gets added to your list caused this bug.

so that should prevent this from re-occuring again, but for all movies people added that get this 'bug', you have to do what tartan_skirt suggested, clicking "+" and then the 'ADD' button, and then the item gets properly displayed.
