Borrow from non-listal member?

I'd like to be able to use listal to keep track of all media I've loaned AND borrowed...but it appears that although we can mark things loaned to non-listal members, the "borrowed" category is only to show things that other listal members have marked as loaned to us. Any way to allow people more control over their own borrowed list?
