Board Games

I realize there is probably more important issues at this point, but it would be nice if I could add boardgames to my game collection. They are on Amazon, but when I try and add them to my collection it does not work. I guess Amazon must differentiate between video and board games or some such.

Maybe throw in collectible card games too.

One thing that might be doable is to hook up with the boarggamegeek.com API for more detailed info about games.

You can add them using the custom add function for games and put 'Board Game' as the platform!

I didn't read this thread until it was too late, but I posted a Board game too - with a platform of "Boardgame" instead of the space.

Just letting someone know if they want to do some data normalization. You might change the custom form to show a dropdown of common platforms, then give the user to add a new one if they want - to aid normalization a bit.

BTW, nice site. I've been wanting to build something like this for years and years. Glad you beat me to it. :)

I agree on the Board Games/Card Games. Especially the part about boardgamegeek.com. I have an minorly extensive collection of unique games and it would be great to catalog them here. I would guess that the gaming community would be quite interested as well.
