Best and Worst game moments ever?

What are the best and worst moments in games you have witnessed? One that bugs me whenever i play the game is the scene in FFVIII when it breaks into the song Eyes on Me after you have battled to get the Ragnarök secure. Now i know it is supposed to be a kind of loving scene, but this was no place for it in my opinion, i remember it starting and me just thinking "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" for the entire minute or so it wastes of my life. What other moments do you find tedious to sit through?

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is just so epic - Hyper Sonic going out into space to fight Robotnic while avoiding a field of rocks is unforgettable. I think Sonic's fights and Konami's Contra series established the basis behind chase-bosses. When you've just gotten finished fighting Knuckles and the Death Egg's in the background sending out its army, the feeling is overcoming.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is also very cinematic. From the word go Alucard storms through a forest and catches the bridge to his father's castle just as it's drawing up, proceeding to a dark hallway that lights up suddenly with gigantic flying eyes with tails writhing outside the castle.

Something you may or may not ever forget is shooting Echo high into the air, after which the entire sea below him is drained of life and oxygen. The Lost World for Sega Game Gear was also a fulfilling adventure, with its final escape via automobile from a raging rampaging T-Rex. The worst video game moments usually escape me on behalf of them being so forgettable.
