Best film of 2014 so far?

I've realised I have not seen a single new film (2014 release) at the cinema so far
Any contenders for best film so far?
Note I have NOT seen any of these and these are just impressions I get from various sites
Her by Spike Jonze looks interesting but IMDB is showing that as 2013
TV movie Lizzie Borden Took An Ax sounds cool
The Lego Movie is meant to be good for a kids flick
Horror films Stitch and Haunted look a bit average to say the least
Run and Jump looks like a slow drama film I'd not enjoy
Nebraska, sounds though it could be a hidden gem
I Frankenstein could be cheesy fun
Flowers In The Attic remake sounds...okay
Lone Survivor just seems like one of those War promoting films we get - those poor innocent US soldiers - they didnt mean to enlist to kill people
Free Ride looks like it could be good...but probably end up a snoozefest
The 739 looks like it will be just a standard rom-com
Open Grave could be promising
Thoughts?

Based on my film diary I've seen three movies from 2014: Need for Speed, RoboCop and The Monuments Men. Out of these, RoboCop has been the best.

It's funny seeing Robocop get so much praise, when last year it was universally hated and everyone was against it.

Thanks guys I plumped for watching the Lizzie Borden flick - women with axes

I've watched 'The LEGO Movie', 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', 'Godzilla', 'How To Train Your Dragon 2' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and I love 'The LEGO Movie' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'. 'Godzilla' and 'How To Train Your Dragon 2' were good but not AS good and 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' was totally mediocre! Go watch 'The LEGO Movie' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'

Boyhood was incredible; it will certainty get a Best Picture nod. I sure hope The Grand Budapest Hotel does as well, though it is second to Boyhood.

Boyhood is indeed quite amazing.

"Enemy" is my favorite, I know it was already shown last year at a festival in Canada but it was released worldwide this year.

Well my favourite's so far are Montana movie starring Lars Mikkelsen and The Inbetweeners 2.

I hadn't seen anything particularly good until I saw Kevin Smith's "Tusk" at TIFF and it completely surprised me.

Borgman
Under The Skin
Enemy
Stranger By The Lake
Life Itself

Grand Budapest Hotel is the only one I saw that I really enjoyed.
I haven't seen Tusk, Boyhood or Horns yet, but they all sound really promising!

Birdman is easily the best film I've seen this year.
@xxixii - I think you'd also really dig Why Don't You Play in Hell?

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Interstellar are tied for the best movie i have watched this year but i plan on seeing Foxcatcher and hope to see boyhood pretty soon as i heard that was really good

Nightcrawler
The Rover
The Rover

Guardians of the galaxy is the best contender so far but i prefer to wait until i watch every movie that i still want to see or missed ( Grand Budapest hotel, Birdman, Interstelllar).

Jessabelle, Occulus, Quiet Ones, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fury, Gone Girl, See No Evil 2, Interstellar, Dracula Untold, The Maze Runner...
