Kurosawa's Seven Samurai

I'm not a fan of action movies, but "Shoot em up" is really enjoyable.

why did you post the same comment four time i dont get it and also i already watched that one.

I really don't know. Not my fault, maybe an error or something. If only I can delete those post I would have done it.

Evil Dead.
Yes really. I'm serious.
Forget all the BS that its a scary horror movie as we know it isnt BUT Sam Raimi proved is action filmmaking chops with this flick which just does NOT let up - the camerawork is inventive and its all very kinetic. And to me that IS action
Is it any wonder that Raimi basically abandoned the Horror genre and moved to action based flicks?
For a more traditional view on action flicks I'd recommend
Aliens
Pacific Rim - just wash the dishes during the dull middle section
Casshern
The Matrix - genre redefining movie
The Expendables 2 - its a dumb as a sack of bricks but it does get on with things!
Avalon (possibly)
maybe some Jackie Chan films
maybe Raging Phoenix
Kill - I have yet to see this flick but its basically 4 final battle scenes with NO plot
AVOID
the modern James Bond flicks as the action is totally uninspired
Christopher Nolan movies - they may be good in many other respects but action is NOT Nolan's strong point as tehy are clumsy

actually to be honest i agree with you on evil dead an action movie does not only mean explosions and shooting everywhere the directing counts a lot too, for the rest thanks for the suggestions and its interesting that you put casshern in there because i bought the movie recently and i still havent watched it i dont even know if its any good.
the only thing that i disagree is the james bond movies because i really like them (except quantum of solace as it is the weaker of the three),of course the aspect that i like more in them is the story and the fact that they make bond a more human and aproachable character instead of just a ladiesman and very fictional in my opinion, but the action is still very good not being very complex and "flashy", i see them as a more realistic aproach and i like that in james bond movies.
