I saw the trailer, broke a couple of ribs laughing at it and then decided that much physical pain from a 30 second clip would probably kill me over a two hour film and thus didn't see it.

and he really did kill grendles mom
yes we had to read it for school....
the movie was waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the story
i just finished The Golden Compass
and i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanna see the movie

I'm still waiting for a good adaptation of Beowulf. This one is just another that doesn't cut it. I'm not sure that it will ever be done justice.

they made it a lot more intersting that the story

I think it lost some of the elegance and strength of the original poem when it made it to the silver screen.

Sure, it had more action and such, but the language of the original, translated version at least, was beautiful in it's storytelling.

yea i agree somewhat. the story ws good. it was ok to read.
a little
hard to understand at times because it was old english.

i NEED to see TWO movies... first one: AVP R, and the second is Golden Compass, after all this time FINALLY another AVP!!! im MEGA interested, but it comes out on christmas day and i probably wont be able to watch it...
