Jeremy Brett and David Burke, though Edward Hardwicke as Watson always comes a close second for me.

I have always been meaning to watch the Basil Rathbone and Nigel Kent incarnations, any suggestions?

For myself, Jeremy Brett IS Sherlock Holmes with Edward Hardwicke as his Watson. I have never seen any other series or actor remain so truly faithful to Doyle's books and characters.
