anyone else having problems using the html scripts

So far today, I've had to edit atleast three posts of mine because it doesn't seem to want to work right. First I tried quoting someone and it didn't work. Then I tried using the bold but it didn't stop where it should have. I don't even know how that happened but it did. Is it just me or what?

yeah. for some reason when I tried it, I was trying to bold one word and instead it did it to the whole sentence. ??????

If I wasn't closing my tags, the script wouldn't work.

Edit: what do you know it does work even when I don't do it right. But the tags show up. Should it be doing that? I haven't really messed with any kind of html script since 8th grade.
