Anybody reading the Inheritence Circle out there?

I recently finished reading Eldest and am eagerly awaiting Brisingr. Anybody got any theories or ideas about where its all gonna end up?
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 18 18:20 -
They kill the bad guy, his brother's dragon and that blue one mate, and the guy gets the girl. I am pretty sure they will all survive, the two dragon riders especially because the dragons and the riders share a connection.

^ sorry, forgot the names.

What a joker. The names would have made it way more credible. :-|

It's meant to be released in September isn't it?

I have to reread the books to come up with any theories. It's been awhile.

20th of September to be precise.

Paolini sure knows how to make a book long!
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 19 20:33 -
Ok, ok, names now: SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
King Galbatorix will die, most likely in the hands of his (spoilers) sons.

Eragon and Murtagh's dragons will mate. Eragon gets Arya. Eragon and Murtagh cannot die otherwise it would mean the end of the dragons. The dragons cannot die because it will mean the end of Eragon. Unless Paolini has the guts to kill all of his main characters, the dragon race will survive.

Other than that, the kingdom will be split apart after the fall of the evil King. Thats it.

I'm so glad you aren't writing the last two books.
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 20 7:18 -
I would be actually VERY surprised if it didn't work out like that. Really, considering the latest book.

Btw, I thought it was a trilogy? Ah, they lengthened it again. Ok good, I hope Eragon grows up a bit, I was completely bored by him in Eldest. Atleast Roran was doing something....

Nah, apparently Brisingr was a lot longer than Paolini expected so he just split it into two books. That is why it is the Inheritence Circle now and not the Trilogy.

I never read Eragon. I watched the film and then read up on Paolini and it. How it defied and opposed all expectations so thought I'd read Eldest just to settle my curiousity.

***SPOILER***
I think its more 'obvious' that Saphira will end up with the last dragon egg.
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 20 16:12 -
Wait... wasn't there only 2 and the third one being the manipulated dragon?

Wait what, there is a green dragon now? Argh, I am going to hate this book if it ends up with Arya. I hope this extended length means that Eragon will actually be somewhat interesting rather than stuck in the lovestruck teenage phase in Eldest. I am kind of looking forward to (predicting here) death of his mentor and the dragon.

***SPOILER***
Galbatorix always had 3 eggs in his possesion aswell as his own manipulated dragon, Shruiken. A Blue egg, A Red egg and a Green One. Eragon hatched the blue one, Murtagh hatched the red one which just leaves the green (male) one to be determined.

That is what the Inhertitence Circle is a coming of age story. Eragon still has time to mature.

It is male, as stated in the last chapters of Eldest! That is why Saphira is so important as she is the last female. Galbatorix wants her and Eragon alive so he can make his own Dragon Riders!

From my research of the first book, it is safe to say the movie is crap. It cut out so many integral characters, its impossible to make the Eldest movie any good!

true true the duzra character was very poor and goofy I walked out of the movie theater as the best actor was the cg saphira
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 21 0:31 -
So anyway, are you of the opinion that the green dragon has already been seen in Eldest or that someone still has to hatch it?

What on earth do you mean?

You should read the closing chapters of Eldest again. Specifically 'Eldest' and 'Inheritence'. Murtagh refers to the egg has an unhatched male. The green colour I'm not sure where I read that but apparently in an FAQ with Paolini the fans call it 'Greenii'.

Saphira, Thorn and Glaedr are the only dragons in Eldest.
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 21 1:40 -
No, I mean the third book's cover is the green dragon. In the book when Saphira and the gold dragon fight, Eragon comes across some green scales. So do you think the green dragon that was on the cover is the one mentioned at this moment or the one that is yet to hatch?

No, the third books cover is Yellow. As it has Glaedr on it. They are saving the 'Green Dragon' for the final book.

I know when you mean but it is a green shell of a dragon egg, not skin. But that was during the middle of the story, when Murtagh refers to the last egg at the end, its still in Galbatorix' possession.

In conclusion, the last dragon in the egg will be the 'star' on the front cover of the final book. I guess..
infernovia 16 years, 2 months ago at Feb 21 20:49 -
Yeah, but wiki said it used to be green before Paolini decided to lengthen the book series. Oh well, I guess I can wait till September to find out whats going on. Unlike Harry potter, I just can't seem to get my impression to an actual theory.
