The third movie is pretty lame so it would depend on how important those extras are to you. Some of them sound kind of cool.
Personally, I'd just go with the buying the first two movies cheap.

yeah, first two are great movies, but 3rd one was simply awful.

I don't even know where they came up with the story for the third movie. I've read all of the "Anne of" books and nothing similar happens at all.

Really? I've only ever seen the first two -_-;;

I did buy ALL of Megazone 23 for the sake of completion since I'm inherently that type of person.

Oh wow. I think I'll hold of buying any Anne of Green Gables for a while then... I've gotta think about this.

regarding part 3, from IMDB Trivia page: "This is the only film in the series not to be based on anything actually written by Lucy Maud Montgomery."

The third one sucks. No lie. I'm not sure about the other two, I haven't seen them. DeepDiscount should cover the Anniversary edition well for you as far as price goes, but sometimes an item is worth nothing to begin with. Beware.

I'm always surprised at how much people love Anne of Green Gables. I've never been a fan and have only seen the first movie and bits pieces of the other two.

you're canadian, Voxy. You should love it. it has been pre-programmed into you from the very beginning.

:)

I haven't seen 1 & 2 in a while, but i remember my folks forcing me to watch it when i was younger, and i actually got into it and thought it was a very nice family story. Oh, and also visiting PEI during a family vacation helped spur interest in it. PEI, especially the Cavendish area where the books are set in (and movie was filmed in, i believe?) is one of most beautiful places on earth.

I fail at being canadian! :(

Though I will admit it did spur an interest in visiting PEI. It's on my list of places to go before I croak! :P
