Animated GIFs

I've seen animated GIFs in some movie picture galleries, but I'm not sure if adding them to these galleries is supposed to be against the rules. I want to add a GIF I made to a gallery, but thought I should check before I do. I don't want it to get deleted.

Animated GIFs are totally acceptable at this point.
Unless it is an animated gif that includes text that is not an actual quote from the film.
I had hoped for a new category of 'animated' for just those images but perhaps in the next update ;)

They are allowed in movie and TV galleries as long as they haven't been edited beyond the original film clip (aka recoloring, added text or graphics, distortion, mash-up of images etc.).
My understanding is that we just don't allow them in "Actor" galleries.

Yesterday, an animated gif I had posted was deleted from the 'Rambo: First Blood' page: Picture of First Blood. I uploaded it to my profile instead since I knew gifs were okay: Picture. If this is allowed, now, was it deleted for being overly violent? On one hand, it's Rambo, so...you know, lots of guns and such; but if it's considered to be beyond that violent point, I'll gladly delete it myself and find something else to use. I love making lists on this site and have no wish to get in trouble. :)

The reason given for that being deleted was that it was from Rambo 2

I guess it has been awhile since I've seen those. Sorry about that!
