Analyse this

Sometimes Musicians bear their souls through the lyrics they write.
Have you heard any tracks (your choice) which you understood profoundly. If so analyse the hidden meaning and even suggest treatment if appropriate. The funnier the better.

This challenge/thread was inspired by www.listal.com/groups/viewthread/10033/ which was funny while everyone was taking the piss!

Here is an example:

Artist: Opus III
Track: It's a Fine Day
Lyrics...

tonight..
fine night tonight, fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's a fine day, people open windows.
they leave the houses, just for a short while.
it's a fine day, people open windows.
they leave the houses, just for a short while.
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's a fine day, people open windows.
they leave the houses, just for a short while.
they walk by the grass, they look at the sky
they walk by the grass, and they look at the grass,
they look at the sky
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
look at the sky, look at the sky, look at the sky
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine day tomorrow
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight
it's going to be a fine night tonight

My opinion
This must have been written by Michael Fish the weatherman, who became a subject of infamy in the wake of the Great Storm of 1987; a few hours before the storm broke, on 15 October 1987, he said during a forecast: "Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way... well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!". That evening, the worst storm to hit South East England since 1703 caused record damages and killed 19 people.

Clearly this error of judgement had a huge impact on Michael and he turned to music to deal with it. In his head he keeps going over that 'it was a fine day today, tonight and tomorrow', but he is trapped in a loop of his own making. He is trying to convince himself that its true by stating it over and over again. The lyric "let me put my hand outside and check if its raining" is noticeably absent.

It is obvious that this whole track is a desperate cry for help, as everyone knows, England only gets a few fine days - an honest version of this song would have to include the lyrics "its a fine day today, its an overcast day tomorrow, maybe rain this weekend?!"

There is however some glimmer of sanity remaining, Michael admits that 'people are returning to their homes after a short while', but Michael doesn't make the mental leap necessary to realise that they are actually returning to their homes soaked to the bone and are in fact running back in fear of the coming storm.

Treatment
A dose of Garbage - I'm only happy when it rains and Eurythmics - Here Comes The Rain Again should do the trick.
