Adding a series to a favourite list

It'd be nice to have a way to add a series of books or movies to a favourites list. Currently the options are:
a) Add the whole series
b) Add my favourite book/film to the list.

If I don't have a clear favourite that rules out (b) and it's quite a long series like Harry Potter, Swallows and Amazons, Star Wars, or The Chronicles of Narnia then it will swamp the list. I suppose I could add a boxed set to my favourite list but that only works if there is one and it also means I'd have something I didn't own in my favourites list.

Obviously I'm not expecting this to be implemented any time soon - just though of it so though I'd post it :)

- Then then they could just add the book or film they do like to their favourites list. I suppose adding the authors to "favorite authors" is probably the best thing to do with books.

I like this idea, zabdiel. There's some good lists out there, but they are hard to find and then can't be 'bookmarked' easily.
