Adding images as notes to list

Two issues in "Add note (New)" - "Insert Image":

1. Drag & paste not working.

2. Adding an image as URL works, both with internal and external images.
But, unless you remember to tick the (somewhat hidden) "Link image" check box, the image is not clickable (no link) as a default. So, users won't be able to click and view it as a large image on Listal, and maybe vote for it.
I think "Link image" should be the default.

Is it no longer possible to embed pictures using the code at the bottom of the pictures as used to be possible on the old site? I've been trying to use the codes but they don't seem to do anything.

Yes, you can still use the image code, but you have to click on "Source" (the </> icon on the far right hand side in the Add note (New) window) then type in something like this: <img src="image/8723906" class="linked"> and Save.

There are more ways to embed pictures now, but it can be a bit confusing at first.

1

If the pic is stored on your computer/device, not on the web, you can upload it directly to the notes.
Go Add/Edit note (New), click on the image icon (Insert image), then "Drop image here" (drag & drop from your PC) or "click" to open the upload window. Click Save when you are done.
Still, you may want to upload the pic to a celebrity or movie gallery or to your personal gallery before adding it to a list. If so, go to #3.

2

If the pic is on another site, copy the image link, go Add/Edit note (New), click on the image icon (Insert image), then enter image URL (type in or paste the image link) and click OK. Click Save when you are done.
Still, you may want to add the pic to a celebrity or movie gallery or to your personal gallery before adding it to a list. If so, go to #3.

3

If the pic is already on Listal, right click on the image and copy the image URL, go Add/Edit note (New), click on the image icon (Insert image), then enter image URL (type in or paste the image link) and click OK.
If you want users to be able to open the image full size and possibly vote for it, Click on the image, tick "link images?".
Click anywhere on the page to make the "link images" pop-up window disappear.
Click Save when you are done.

3b

If the pic is already on Listal and you want to use the image code, e.g. 8723906, copy it or write it down, go Add/Edit note (New), click on the </> icon (Source) and type in something like this
<img src="image/8723906">

or

<img src="image/8723906" class="linked">
if you want the pic to link to the image page.

or

<img src="image/8723906" width="600" class="linked">
if you also want to set the width of the pic larger or narrower than the 500 default.

It's actually a shame that the old way of coding couldn't be kept as an option. Some of us will work out how to do what we did before (some just never worked it out), but some took a while to get a grasp of the old system, and now it's changing hugely. While there are alternatives to raw code, some prefer to go that route for more control, and including the old system may have been a good idea for users who struggle with such things.

@OnionJack

Perhaps the old [img id=8723906 width=500full] could be replaced with something like <img src="image/8723906" width="500" class="linked"> which does the same, if I am not mistaken, if you copy and paste it into Edit Notes - Source mode.

Thanks for that last code, The O.P.! I've been using it and it's working like clockwork.

There are some of my lists, though, that aren't giving me the 'Add Note (new)' option, and I can't figure out how to put pictures on them at all.
