Add new items by pasting URL in search control not working

Used to be able to add new items by pasting Amazon URLs into search control. This no longer works. Now, if I paste and search, for instance:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0980930243

I get the message:

No search results for 'http www amazon co uk dp 0980930243'

With the not-working suggestion:

"Paste a Website Link/URL into the search box and click search to begin the add item process."
