actor's photo changing

Sometimes it annoys me to see changing
pictures day after day after I 've had accustomed
them.
Is there a possibility to stop the replacement
of actor's photos?
Maybe with a collective voting? or a small gallery where
everbody can choose his or her favourite photo?

I like that it can be changed all the time, keeps it fresh and up to date.

I like that everyone has a say in it, but some of the ones people choose (ie the ones where I can't make out the faces) quite annoy me. I wouldn't mind if there were a few more rules about how the main picture was chosen.

I think we all have frustrating days when a picture of pure annoyance shows up but I'm on the side that would rather have the freedom to change the picture than limit it to votes or MODS!
If anyone posts a picture of an actor covering their face, I report it. Easy as.
Actors have ever-changing faces anyway. Why not reflect that with flexible profile pics? I'd hate it to end up like IMDb.

Reminds me of a game of snap... or something similar.
Where you have to turn all the cards up to face your direction whilst someone else is busy turning them all back over.
A silent battle for image supremacy.

I don't really understand your comparison Dionysian...
I do think some people are fecking mental for the pictures they deem appropriate for primary displays, there should be some kind of regulations there. If it is a picture of the person, all is visible etc and you can tell it is them, then there is nothing wrong with people battling it out for supremacy. IMO, it is down to them if they find it necessary to change it back and what not.
Having your own individual preferred primary images would be a nice option? Solves everything in one foul swoop. Something that could be added in at the bottom of the to-do list with low priority or something? It isn't worth much effort really.

Yeah, an individual option to freeze certain profile pictures for specific members is what I was going to suggest. I like the dynamism of constantly changing profile pictures, that should be kept as a default, but then each member should be given the option to 'freeze current image as default picture', so it doesn't change for them if someone else edits the picture.
If some members are unhappy about it then it's worth looking into. The problem with voting for pictures (if you can call it a problem!) is that only scantily clad females seem to get votes! Jokes aside, images would probably change just as frequently if it was based on voting alone. The war would be the same but the battleground would change.
