Actor/Director confusion

I've just added Xena as one of my favourite TV programmes, and found Kevin Smith listed as one of the actors in the series. Which he was. But his listal page has info for Kevin Smith, the *director*, including videos and stuff which seemingly can't be edited out.

So, can we have seperate listings for Kevin Smith (Kiwi actor), and Kevin Smith (American writer/director/actor), please, and make sure that both are attributed properly (e.g. the director's page not linked back to one that the Kiwi actor should be on)?

I've never thought about it til now, but similar confusion may happen with other like-named folk listed on here, perhaps?

I've been adding lots of actors/actresses photos (my number 1 ranking sorta proves it, lol) and I must say I've come across this I think twice, but I didnt report it either time since it involved obscure actors that I didnt even find pictures for either of them. So I think its a small enough issue that perhaps Tom can fix it and split up the people on a case-by-base basis, such as your example of Kevin Smith. Frankly, I was suprised how there wasnt any name mixups, but I think in the actors profession, they add middle names or change their spelling or even adopt a different name if a new actor finds he or she shares same name as a past screen legend to avoid confusion to their profession.

Unfortunately as you have discovered there is no support for two people with the same name at the moment, with Kevin Smith it gets even more complicated as there are at least 10 more actors called Kevin Smith!

It is amusing to think of writer/director/actor Kevin Smith appearing in Xena as Ares, instead of the *proper* KS, though...! :-)

I actually came across the same thing today. Damn that Kevin Smith! *lol* It's kind of annoying when he stars and directs the same movie and only one has a picture. I wasn't sure whether or not to add the same picture to the actor page for him!

You could always use a picture of him "as is" in his non-work life, if you can find one? Perhaps just a Spotlight-esque promo pic.

But he's wrongly attributed as being the Kevin Smith who appeared in Xena (and Hercules) as Ares! He isn't! The imposter...

Blerg! I've just come across your problem. Two actors called Daniel Costello, one of which is a child actor, the other appeared in The Magdalene Sisters as a priest... hmm... I can put up with it. *lol*
