Accumulating Listal Points

I was about to post at movies discussion. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to participate in the said discussion because my listal points are not enough. Since, I'm new here and want to familiarise myself with listal. How can I earned points here?

If you keep rating items you points will increase and the system will update that information and give you a ranking score.
You might also want to start creating a list of your favorite, movies, books, actors, directors.
Just visit the page for a book and click on the "Add to Favorites". This will give you some basic lists. You can then display that on your profile if you wish.
Really, points are all about making lists, rating items and getting votes for your lists.
If you visit your profile and click on your rank (currently 0). You will see a list of other things that Listal awards points for doing.

I have rated 35 movies yesterday. How would I know my listal points?

Like jaytoast said, visit your profile and click on your rank. When in the points page, reload the page to see updated values.

Also, rating things is a very slow way to accumulate points. You only get like 3 or 4 points per rating. But if you make a list with at least 8 things you get 300 points and then you get extra points if you put notes on that list.

@gabie, right now, you have 358 pts. You could create a list like tersanay said but personally, I think it's better to first rate all your stuff (movies, dvds, books, games, CDs,...). It takes some time but it's worth it. At least, that's how I started.

^ That would take forever. Making a list is much easier and probably more fun!

@gabie: One more thing you can do is write a review about a movie you've just seen or a book you've just read or a music album you've listened to or a video game you played... You don't need to be a professional critic. Finding the right words may take a little effort sometimes, but I think it's well worth it, if you like writing. It's satisfying and can be an interesting read for others. As for the points, you are awarded 50, 100 or 200 points depending on the length of the review. Besides, you get some extra points if other users vote for your review.

Do what carryonbuff does.
He rate everything even actors he never saw before and movies that never been played.
