A message to El Raulo

First of all, I want to think you for your honesty. At least, I know what's going on.

Still, I want to clear up a few things.

1. I don't promote my lists on other users profiles. Like you, I find it really annoying. Once, maybe twice a year, I organize a community project like the 'Listal's 100 movies you have to see before you die', that's it but if you're not interested in such projects, you could just tell me and then you wouldn't be bothered by those.

2. Indeed, I'm a little bit responsible for all those evolutions lists and many users don't like them at all. Still, compare to all those lists about 'Nice girls on a bench' and such, I don't think they are that bad but it is matter of taste. You could just ignore them but it is a free world.

I find a little bit harsh to block me for those 2 reasons but it is your choice, I will respect it and won't bother you anymore about this subject.

About the deleted images, I try to stay out of this debate wether your images should be deleted or not. It seems to me a really difficult and thankless job to choose which image should stay and which one should be deleted. Still, the amount of naked pics on Listal is definitely an issue and I fully support the mods in their work.

Well, since a few hours ago you are unblocked. The only user i have blocked is Time Bomb, but he deserves it.
About the pictures, I only raise my voice to defend myself when I think there is an injustice, as I supposed I have right to.
Apparently they think I'm spamming. So, more trouble for me.

Calling it an "injustice" is just silly, imo. Listal is a not country, it's someones site (Tom's). You have every right to make your own site where you can choose to allow and not allow whatever the hell you want on it.

By the way, about the pics, my advise would be to not post any pics which remotely goes against the rules (for ex. Doutzen Kroes in lingerie). The point is that Listal is not about those pics, I mean if there were a few of them, it would be ok but not so many. It is the only way to get a clean Listal and to avoid conflicts with the mods.

And for the people always uploading those pics, you've got 2 choices :

1. Do something else! Find another hobby! You can spend your time on Listal with movies, videogames, musics, books, a lot of other stuff than naked chicks

2. Find another website where you can look at and upload naked chicks.

Nothing wrong with those type of pics because they are tasteful and not even borderline nudity. I'm sorry if you find them boring but other users like them and they are harmless. Those sorts of images are essentially about selling the clothing/look the models are wearing and a lot of female users enjoy them to. And the interest in them for many users has nothing to do with wanting to look at hot girls or naked women or whatever. It's about fashion & art for me.

There is a niche of users on listal who love high fashion/models and using listal for interests in fashion is as legit and harmless as someone using listal for their interest in movies, videogames, musics or books.

On the other hand, an image of some pornstar or glamor model in skimpy lingerie showing her cleavage from her double D tits and making a suggestive pose does disgust me.

The only problem I have with the Doutzen Kroes gallery is with reposts, and mass posting of similar images. My only advice for someone who is going to post images in that gallery is please check for reposts and don't post 50+ images similar images of her photographed by the paparazzi. Reposting can be annoying but I have managed to keep that gallery under control.

And images of high fashion models have nothing to do with conflict about nudity being posted on Listal. Yes, occasionally I have had to delete nude images of fashion models (even though they are tasteful and don't bother me, but they are still nudity and against the rules), but there has never been any resulting conflict. The conflict with nudity is about images of adult models/porn stars, and glamor models, as well as obscure amateur and internet models.

Had you put the name of some pornstar in there instead of Doutzen Kroes I would have agreed with everything you said.

And I agree with you that listal is not for porn or naked chics. And if that's what people want then go to another site.

I think you misunderstood my post...

I have nothing against lingerie pics, as a matter of fact, I have nothing against pornstars or even nude pics when they are in a moderate number but that's not the case anymore.

What I meant with my comments is that those lingerie pics, which actually are fine, create a grey area for the uploaders of naked chicks. Indeed, to make the difference of a hot pic of Doutzen Kroes of some other pornstars is highly suggestive and provide them with a good excuse to post all these pics. I mean, did you see the pics uploaded by El Raulo which were eventually deleted? It was not a pornstar and she wasn't naked and yet those pics were deleted. What I want to say is that it is better to not create this grey area, that's all I meant...

And by the way, my comment was obviously directed to the guys uploading all these nude (or highly sexual) pics not to you...

Eventually, you can download 1000s pics of Doutzen Kroes in a thong, I don't mind, because you think it is tasteful but then some of other guy will also download 1000s pics of Jenna Jameson in a thong because he thinks it is tasteful... Why a (almost) naked top model would be better than a (almost) naked porn star? The only difference is the taste of the uploader, nothing more. And, that's why, in my opinion, the rules should be even more strict concerning pics, otherwise you have this grey area and eventually you end up with 1000s and 1000s of almot naked chicks with a few decent legitimate pics but also a huge amount of garbage.

Anyway, I'm not a mod and I don't really care this debate. I just noticed that El Raulo was upset his pics being deleted so I tried to develop my ideas about the subject. I guess this is how Listal works. There is a huge amount of liberty and some of us take advantage of it but it also parts of its charm, that you can do whatever you want.

It is up to the discretion of an individual moderator to judge if these rules have been broken.

Tom has also announced in the mod forum that tasteful borderline nudity is allowed.

So that's why a tasteful photoshoot for a major magazine of an image of Christina Aguilara, Olivia Wilde, Kate Moss or Doutzen Kroes naked on a bed (not showing anything) is allowed but some amateur photo of some internet adult model naked on a bed, over-emphasizing certain body parts or making a sexual suggestive pose isn't. That's just the way it is. And I'm sorry if some people don't like that. They are welcome to go to another site.

And true, what is considered tasteful can be objective but I don't think Tom would make a user a mod who considered pornstar images tasteful.

Also, as I mod, I can see all the nude images of El Raulo's that were deleted and I think if you could see them you would not be saying what you are saying. Many of them are nothing close to borderline.
